In fact, there are no more than five copies reported to exist. In our review of major British Commonwealth auctions in the last fifteen years, this stamp is either missing entirely or is in used condition. The only mint example we could find was offered in our 2008 sale of the "Sovereign" Collection. It too had part original gum, and after spirited bidding, hammered down for $47,500.00, plus the buyer's premium.An exciting opportunity to obtain one of the rarest mint stamps of the entire British Empire.
